Our Services

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

The Exchange’s government affairs program connects you Members of Congress, regulators, policymakers, industry leaders, and others concerned with transportation issues such as user fees, inspections, trade and quota, maritime security, automation, navigational safety, the environment, and dredging.

Through a membership in the Exchange, you lend your voice to a strong coalition that helps promote and protect the vitality of the Delaware River region.  With members acting as one voice, we influence policymakers and our federal agency partners to maintain a positive operating climate and keep our port competitive.

  • Daily news clip summaries and Federal Register highlights outlining each day’s news, proposed and final regulations, notices, and executive actions pertinent to the maritime industry.
  • The President’s Report, a monthly update to members only, provides timely updates on important issues.
  • The Beacon, the Exchange’s free quarterly newsletter, informs readers about news and events affecting the industry as a whole and the tristate port community specifically and gives advertisers an opportunity to reach over 3,000 readers.
  • The annual port directory, with over 1,000 listings, provides the most comprehensive single source of current business, nonprofit, and government contacts.

MARITIME ON-LINE®

Since the late 1800s, the Exchange has been recording commercial cargo ship movements on the Delaware River and Bay and disseminating that information to its members. Today the Exchange serves as the electronic communications hub for all Delaware River and Bay port-centric information.

Supported by an experienced staff 24/7/365, Maritime On-Line provides:

  • Ship Reporting: Detailed vessel arrival and movement information, including current, anticipated, and historical activity
  • TRACS: Automated Customs and Border Protection import and export cargo clearances
  • AIS: Real-time vessel positions

In addition to information sharing among private and public transportation and logistics chain partners, Maritime On-Line allows subscribers to comply with CBP’s 24-hour rule and 10+2 requirements, stow plan filing obligations, and other electronic filing mandates.  System users provide the operational expertise necessary to ensure Maritime On-Line meets both government requirements and business needs.
