The Captain of the Port (COTP), Delaware Bay is notifying mariners a safety zone has been established in the lower Delaware Bay in order to facilitate diving and salvage operations. The safety zone will be enforced from 7:00 am through 5:00 pm on February 6, 2018.
The safety zone will encompass all navigable waters within a 1,200 yard radius of the towing vessel NORTHSTAR COMMANDER, associated crane barge and all other dive and salvage equipment located at approximate location 38° 51.947’ North Latitude, 075° 06.182’ West Longitude.
Entry into or transit within the safety zone is prohibited without the approval of the Captain of the Port, Delaware Bay via VHF-FM Channel 16, or the towing vessel NORTHSTAR COMMANDER via VHF-FM Channel 13 or 16.
