U.S. Customs and Border Protection
Pipeline # 06-2025
April 16, 2025

To:               Customs Brokers, Importers and Others Concerned

Subject:     Updating Agriculture Documents in Document Image System

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Agriculture Specialists in the Port of Philadelphia are tasked with the review of documents related to the importation of agricultural commodities to ensure that food safety requirements are met.  When required documents are found to be missing CBP requests that an importer or their broker upload the missing documents into the Document Image System (DIS).  When such requests are made, CBP asks that in order to expedite processing and the release of shipments, only the actual documents requested be uploaded in response to the request rather than including them as part of a larger package of documents which can create duplicative work and result in unnecessary delays.

Please feel free to contact Branch Chief Elliot Ortiz at (267) 688-8314 or via email at  ELLIOT.N.ORTIZ@cbp.dhs.gov or Chief Sean Butler at (215) 783-7444 or via email at SEAN.C.BUTLER@cbp.dhs.gov with any questions.

 Respectfully,

Sean C. Butler
