Applicable vessels can reference 33 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 156, Subpart A for requirements for
Oil and Hazardous Material Transfer Operations.
U.S. flagged vessels with questions regarding oil and hazardous material transfer operations, in the Sector
Delaware Bay Captain of the Port Zone, may contact the Sector Delaware Bay Domestic Vessel Inspections
Branch via e-mail at domesticvessels@uscg.mil, or via phone at (206) 815-6688, then select option 1 (Vessel
inspections), and then option 1 (U.S. vessel inspections).
Foreign flagged vessels with questions regarding oil and hazardous material transfer operations, in the Sector
Delaware Bay Captain of the Port Zone, may contact the Sector Delaware Bay Port State Control Branch via email
at secdelbay.portstate@uscg.mil, or via phone at (206) 815-6688, then select option 1 (Vessel inspections), and
then option 2 (Foreign vessel exams).
