The EPA recently announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity under the 2024 Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles Grants Program. The program will award up to $932 million to purchase zero-emission Class 6 and 7 heavy-duty vehicles, and funding may also be used for:
- zero-emission vehicle refueling infrastructure
- related workforce development and training; and
- project implementation costs
While only states, municipalities, and tribes are eligible, public port authorities and private entities may partner with these entities to apply.
Electronic applications are due by July 25, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern) and must be filed through Grants.gov. The EPA will host a virtual information session on April 30, 2024, at 3:00 PM (Eastern).
