The Captain of the Port, Delaware Bay, is notifying mariners of an object, approximately 10.5 feet wide and 7 feet high, that has been reported in the Delaware River, in Marcus Hook Anchorage, at 39˚47.905’N, 075˚ 25.067’W. Mariners are advised to use extreme caution when transiting this portion of the Marcus Hook Anchorage as some depths at mean low low water could be hazardous to navigation. Minimum depth at this objects location is 39.2 feet at mean low low water.
Vessels drafting over 35 feet should avoid this area and transit around the object.
Great Lakes Dock and Dredging will be working in the anchorage attempting to remove the object on March 16, 2018 and March 17, 2018.
